Hello, everyone! My name is Darlene Morton, I am a Vocal Music Education major at Arkansas Tech University and I am currently completing my student teaching semester at Dover High School and Dover Elementary School. Currently, I am at the high school with Mrs. Carrie Taylor on Mondays and Tuesdays and I am at the elementary school with Mrs. Sherry Stahl on Thursdays and Fridays!
When I'm not spending my days at the high school or the elementary school, I am usually spending time with adorable cats Phoenix and Phoebe, my fiancé Bryan, or my roommate Morgan! In my free time, I enjoy singing, going to the movies, reading, and working on DIY craft projects!
Throughout my time here at the Dover Elementary School, I have had so many wonderful opportunities to grow as a teacher and a musician. I am so grateful that I have had the chance to be a part of the inspiring music program at Dover Elementary, the students that attend this school are so incredibly talented and it has truly been a blessing to work with Mrs. Stahl on furthering their music education! I know that I will remember these students far beyond this semester; they have made a lasting impact on me that I will never forget.
