Yesterday I traveled with the Musical Mateys to the Arkansas State Capitol.  We sang 6 songs and they did a terrific job!

The Nutcracker 2017

I loved getting to watch these 4 beauties in The Nutcracker today!  They did a terrific job!!!

The Musical Mateys did their Christmas Concert last Thursday night and did SUCH A GREAT JOB!!!  I'm super proud of all their hard work!

Playing the Violin

Yesterday Jillian brought her violin to school and played for her class!  She did an awesome job.  I'm so proud of her hard work!

Hot Cross Buns

We have been working hard on recorders in 3rd and 4th grades.  This week we added an accompaniment on the xylophones for the song Hot Cross Buns!  They did a terrific job!

Mrs. Land is AWESOME!!!

Today I had a class that wasn't able to make it to music because they had a special event in their classroom at that time!  So, Mrs. Morton (my intern) and I went to PE!  We did the giant parachute and it was SO MUCH FUN!!!!!  Mrs. Land (the PE teacher) does such fun, amazing things!!!

Family Night!

Our first Family Night of the year will be Thursday, November 9 from 6:00-7:30.  

2nd grade will present a Thanksgiving themed performance at 6:00.
1st grade will present a Veteran's Day themed performance at 6:45.

Talented Kids

Word of the Week Challenge

Each week we learn a Word of the Week.  Last week was our last week to learn a word.  We have learned 48 words!!

This week we are doing a review game/competition.  The students must work as a class to match all 48 words with the definition. 

It also happens to be State Testing week.  So, several of our classes had to miss music.

 Here is and time for the classes that were able to participate:

2nd Grade

Widner - 5 min. 59 seconds

Williams- 7 min. 22 seconds

3rd Grade

                                 Race  -  6 min. 37 seconds 

Young -  5 min. 05 seconds

4th Grade

    Aday  -  3 min. 41 seconds

                                   Arivett-  3 min. 24seconds

Ode to A Marshmallow

This week is full of fun!  We are nearing the end of school (4 more music classes!!)

First grade is singing Ode to A Marshmallow.  It is a super fun song from Music K-8!

We made campfires from boomwhackers and pretended to roast marshmallows while we sang!


We also sang a song about Balloons!
